So you’ve got your perfect holiday planned out but it’s a good long plane ride to get there. Now the last thing you want to do is start your wonderful vacation badly, so let’s look at 3 tips for things you’ll need to take to make the journey less stressful. Travel Blogger James Frazer-Mann share his top 3 tips:
- Buy a travel pillow. Have you ever tried to sleep sitting upright on a flight? Aside from the awkward position you’re sitting in you’re going to want some sort of comfortable rest for your neck and head should you plan on getting any sleep and not spending the first days of your holiday with a stiff neck. Here’s where a travel pillow is your friend.
- Don’t forget the ipad or tablet. If you don’t want to indulge in the in-flight movie and either aren’t planning on sleeping or can’t, a portable device like this can be a godsend on a long trip. Fill it with music, videos, audiobooks or whatever you fancy that works and don’t forget your headphones to go with it! The journey will seem much quicker.
- Take your own snacks. Airline food isn’t always the best, or the cheapest. It’s always best to stock up on a few bits and bobs to eat on the trip so you don’t end up going hungry or having to fork out way over the odds!
Sometimes we’re so busy planning the perfect holiday destination that we forget about the travel to get there and back. Depending on where you’re going, the plane trip could be a long one so you want to make sure you’re arriving as comfortable as you can be to start that holiday off on the right foot! These handy little tips should go a long way to making that happen.
